Now you can find our maternity stores with a curated range in Cockburn South of Perth where our staff will look after you for your needs in comfort and style.

Hi  Welcome to our corner. My name is Lene, and I am the owner of Room For Two. Originally from Norway. I am a wife of a tall handsome Australian man, mum of 2 full on kids age 7 and 9, a galah called Frankie and recently got the cutest labradoodle pup called Anchor. I came to Australia in 2013 and love this beautiful place and all it has to offer.

With my 2nd born in 2015 I started my own baby business “Eiress IdaBee”, creating mum nursing necklaces, safety certified teethers and dummy chains, which I sold worldwide and had over 20 Australian stockists. In the early days I did markets with my little man strapped to me in a carrier, and moved onto pop ups in shopping centres when he was old enough to go to daycare.

In 2019 I began to feel itchy to expand, and started looking further into pregnancy and nursing products, because I think Mums are often forgetting themselves when they are doing the most important job there is, and it can be so hard to find these products. 

That is when I bumped into Room For Two Maternity in Subiaco that was closing down. I told my husband about it, thinking perhaps to check it out for stock purposes. Somehow we didn’t get any stock, but the name and online presence to build on.

So in September 2019, Room For Two changed hands. Such a unique name, with a unique story, the longest running maternity specialised store in Perth – I just couldn’t see that disappear.

I went to Room For Two when I was pregnant in 2013 with my first, and so did my mother in law when she was pregnant back in 1978 (which is the earliest year we know this shop operated – if you have any info before that year, please get in touch).

We hear about todays grandmothers that visited Room For Two back in the 80’s which is always exciting.

After a few months figuring out the ropes and focusing on online presence and doing a few pop ups, it was time to venture into a permanent shop with a change room where mums could come and try in a time when the body is changing so much, get advice on different products and aids for their journey.

We have continued stocking the same quality and trusted brands such as Angel Maternity, Ripe, Maive and Bo, Hotmilk Lingerie, SRC Health and lots more – and are proud to include new boutique brands such as Legoe, Bae The Label, Willow By The Sea, BIBS, Snuggle Hunny Kids, and more. 

Our maternity clothes brands are sourced with quality and breathability in mind. We love the thought of the outfits being fabulous both for pregnancy and breastfeeding, so much of our range is useful from pregnancy and beyond.
They are made to support you through pregnancy, birth and during your postpartum time, and is of such great quality to last you through the next pregnancy too.

Because we found so many expecting and new mums asking for other brands, both for bump, birth, breastfeeding and baby, we kept expanding further and started stocking more and more amazing garments and items. Having started our journey in a 50 square meter store in Fremantle, we quickly outgrew it and moved to Cockburn in 2021.
Listening to our customers from Perth NOR finding the drive long with traffic and not able to come as often as they would like, we also branched out to a Pop up in Whitford Shopping.

Taking great pride in customer service and relations, I am very proud of my team of wonderful mums that has joined Room For Two. We are all working hard on learning about our products making it easier for you to choose.

One of the things I love the most is to meet all the fantastic mums of Perth, and provide those quality sought-after brands often only seen online. Nowadays I work more behind the scenes, but am so happy to serve when I have the opportunity.
